Haye vs Harrison - do NOT forget how you felt when you heard the fight was being made

Don't forget how you felt when you heard the fight was being made.

Don't get caught up in the Sky hype.

Don't think Audley has the speed, timing or commitment to taking a risk to land that hail mary left on Haye.

This fight lasts as long as Haye wants to string it out. The first counter-right could probably do the job but he's probably gonna let it go a few rounds so everyone doesn't feel jobbed.

I used to be a fan of this guy but to not only run away from the Klits but to THEN pick Audley as an opponent is beyond pathetic.

I'm looking forward to the fight so the phony promotion and Sky hype finishes.

Yeah, I'm refusing to pay for it (will watch it down the pub) but I can't help but feel a bit excited. Same for the Pacquiao fight later (although that's free anyway). It always happens; no matter how lame a fight is on paper I get caught up in the hype.

Anyone who buys this fight is ******.

I re-watched Harrison vs. Rogan a couple of days ago. Audley Harrison is NOT a world-class heavyweight and has absolutely NO CHANCE in this fight, despite Haye's questionable chin.

Audley at age 39 is now very slow.

It's a joke fight and I won't be buying it. I won't even be watching it down the pub, because I'm involved in a local poker final. I'd rather take a chance at winning money than waste it on a PPV like this. Unfortunately this fight will sell well and unfortunately it always made sense from a financial stand point. Harrison is a well-known ex-Olympic champion who has fought on free cards on Sky for years and is at the peak of his interest thanks to the Prizefighter win and his fluke knockout of Sprott. Combined with the Sky hype machine, it makes for a low-risk, high payday for Haye. In making the fight he has sold his legacy down the river, and can only recover it by finally fighting and beating a Klitschko - something I'm not sure he'll ever do.

              fluke knockout ?

guy fought most of the fight with 1 arm, and landed an incredible shot.

I was at a boxing dinner last week and nearly everyone i spoke to tipped Audley. And most people in the game are picking Haye but there does seem to be a gut feeling Harrison could do it. But the thread starter is right, U gotta apply logic, Haye is faster fresher and the harder puncher along with having the better big fight experiance and record, basically he's getting better results with better opposition. Oh yeah and he's nine years younger!

As the man says A Force is gonna catch A Beating! Haye KO

One more thing, when did Harrison become this Huge puncher??? Hayes chin is gash and Audley could level him but he aint no monster puncher

Well said. Audley is known better as Fraudley because this fool has been trying to fool the public for 10 years about how great he is and how explosive his fights will be but it is always mega bs.

He is trying to fool the public once again about how he is in the right frame of mind and all that but this is probably the most delusional he has ever been in his boxing career. No way am I believing that Fraudley has a chance of beating Haye. Haye has taken this fight very seriously and I do not see how Audley is going to land any telling left hooks.

I understand why this fight is being made even though a lot of people feel that Haye is running from the Klitchkhos. He is just doing what any sane person would do and that is to maximise their star power for what it is worth and then go for the big risk fights. It is not like the Klitschkos are going anywhere anytime soon and the next big pay day for Haye is either Wladimir or Vitali and it looks more and more like it is going to be Wladimir next for Haye.

So cut out all that nonsense about not being a fan of David Haye anymore, like you ever were a fan in the first place and just decided to jump on the bandwagan like a whole bunch of people.
