Default Tommy Morrison is underrated any one agree?

Morrison was one of the most excting heavyweights of the 90's, boxed rings around george foreman who a year later would become heavyweight champion of the world, morrison also knocked out heavyweight contenders james tills, carl wiiliams and razor ruddock, and knocked out former heavyweight champion pinklon thomas in a round, also the duke was WBO Heavyweight champion.

Foreman was in his 40s and the others Morrison beat was all "SHOT" Morrison was a drug-cheat who freely admits to using anabolic steroids throughout his career... Yes he was an exciting fighter but he got sparked by Michael Bent who was nothing more than a journeyman, Morrison was very well matched during his career and would have been destroyed had he fought Bowe, Holyfield or Tyson within a round or two.

Morrison was a joke with a good manager/promoter and was made famous more by his role in Rocky 5 than anything else.

A joke? Joke's don't beeat George Foreman. That same Foreman who 18 months later knocked out 35-0 HW champ Michael Moorer.

Morrision also beat Foreman by better scores than a prime Evander Holyfield did to.

Yes he was a joke. Moorer wasn't all that good of a fighter, more so than he was in a heavyweight division that wasn't very good. Watch the fashion in which he was knocked out cold by Ray Mercer in the 5th round, it is embarrassing. What's more embarrassing, while trying to pad his record against journeyman Michael Bentt he is knocked out COLD in one round in one of the most embarrassing fights in heavyweight championship history. Apparently you have not seen that fight as if you had you would know just what a joke Morrison was.

Keep in mind that we're talking about the heavyweight champion of the world and he was knocked down 3 times in the opening round by a journeyman fighter, and all the while he is on steroids.

The man is a JOKE.

Michael bennt was no journeymen he was a outstanding amateur who won every american amateur title you can win, yes foreman was in his 40's but he was also in his 40's when he gave holyfield hell for 12 rounds and beat heavyweight champion michael moorer.

Being a great amateur doesn't mean you're a good professional fighter. Amateur bouts are scored on a points system that isn't an accurate reflection as to how a guy will be professionally.

Tyrell Biggs was also a great amateur fighter, and while he was a decent heavyweight, he wasn't all that "great."

Amateur accomplishments are not relevant when talking about what a guy does as a pro.

Some great amateurs go on to do nothing in the pro's, and most go on to be nothing more than journeyman fighters, as was Michael Bentt.

Can't really say the guy was a joke, but he's not an all time great either. He was a very good puncher. Ray Mercer took some vicious punches from him before turning the tables. Morrison was also one of those guys who was at his best when he was very young. A bit like Tyson in that respect. He was a good, entertaining fighter, just short of the very best.
