  • Comments Thread For: Trainer Morgan on Margarito's Guilt, How To Beat Pacquiao

In the first part of my interview with trainer Tony Morgan I discussed his history with his star fighter, undefeated WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto, his thoughts on Floyd Mayweather’s future in the sport as well as random rumblings about the game of boxing.

I agree with EVERYTHING that Tony Morgan said.

    Mostly obvious, common-sense, stuff.

Tony Morgan is right. Sad to read the Cotto part. Cotto would be the best P4P fighter in the world if his corner did the right job that night against Margarito.

Good read. He said A LOT of things that people in the boxing biz think but WON'T say. Marg DEFINITELY should have been banned for life. No doubt in my mind that he knew what was going on. AND that he used the "bricks" against Cotto too. Manny is juicing. He knocked Cotto down with a punch of the WRONG foot. Shouldn't even have been able to generate that sort of power. The SUDDEN 1 punch knockout ability off of the use of "supplements" is RIDICULOUS to even believe. And Paul Williams is VERY basic. Though I think he'll beat Sergio. And believe the won the first fight also. I like Sergio more, but he DOESN'T impress me.

I do uderstand why so many trainers question Manny's recent devestating KO's, but Manny has put on a lot of muscle since the Marquez fights. HOWEVER, the most important aspect of his KO's of Cotto and Hatton were the speed and precision of the shots he caught those guys with. The shot he landed on Miguel's chin that started all the trouble was short, perfectly thrown, and from an ungodly angle which Cotto just wasn't expecting at that moment. Subsequently, he never really recovered. The same with the Hatton KO...Ricky came in face first with his hands down and got saught with a perfect shot to the jaw that Manny had full leverage on. Anyone would've gone down. Manny didn't stretch Oscar like that 'cuz he never touched that chin like he did with Cotto and Hatton. Insead, he busted him up and made him quit through what Merchant called "Death by a thousand bee stings". It's not any newly-found devestating power with Manny - it's that his technique has really improved.
As for Margarito, he's been hanging around on the inside in his recent fights so he runs the serious risk of getting caught with one of those awkward shots...He needs space, and to let those long arms create distance like in the second half of the Paul Williams fight. IMO, that's the only way he has a chance in this one. I believe he's capable, which makes this a fight I'm really looking forward to.

"Pacquiao never destroyed little guys now all of a sudden he's destroying big guys"

-tony morgan (******ass or ignorant ass or both)

              vs sasakul @112

              vs lucero @122

              vs 3k batter @126

              vs solis @ 130

Do i need to post other DESTRUCTIONS OF FIGHTERS of EVERY SINGLE DIVISION PAC HAS BEEN IN? I dont think so either. Its quite clear this Al Haymon mayweather controlled drone has a agenda. Every single division pac has been in he has destroyed, tko/ko'd fighters.

His power didnt APPEAR ALL OF A SUDDEN. Pac has always been heavy handed.

              Stop being ****** & ignorant.

that there's nothing to understand about the trainer questioning pac's power. Pac has always destroyed/ko/tko'd fighters in every division he's been in. He's a natural born puncher. Heavy handed. Emmanuel steward has commented on this several tiimes. His whole where did pac's power come from & he never destroyed little guys comment is wrong, ignorant, & ******.

                    that's the point.
