De La Hoya was always one of my favorite fighters...
But not to brag much about De La Boxer, I'll get right to the point about De La Promoter..

WTF is with all these ****** PPV's

1st Barrera fought Fana, now Barrera is fighting some Peden and Mosley Vs. Cruz is also a PPV? Now every known fighter he promotes is a PPV event. That's ****ed up!

I never thought I'd say this, but.. Golden Boy Productions, YOU SUCK!
Where is HBO going with this?

West Coast promoters are evil and there business tactics are simply this. "Got latino boxers on the card?" "Yes" "Ok than thats PPV material." Arum has done it and GBP continues to do it, although GBP does it in a less noticeable fashion by giving the fans HBO Latino Boxeo De Oro.

It baffles me that Barrera vs Pacquiao/Morales/Hamed are all regular telecast worthy but Peden/Fana are ppv worthy...Mexican warriors dont come cheap these days, simply because the promoters know the fans will pay to see them. As long as people keep giving them profits they will keep bringing them on ppv.

Unfortunatly its all about the money. They know PPV will generate lots of cheddar, because people like me and you and millions world wide, will pay what ever it takes to see our favorite boxers destroy their opponants.

Last I checked Mosley never had that many fans...
This PPV is bound to be disastrous!

Making those tune up bouts are not for the goodness of the fans but a promotional tactic. If they have run a 2 1/2-3 hour telecast hyping up 2 fighters on one show and they are both fighting and provided they prevail and look spectacular they have that 2 build off of as well as an exciting match against each other the first time for promotional work. It is all business and will generate more hype into what fight they are really waiting for....

Fana/Barrera made well over a million dollars and they still made a profit even with 170k ppv buys. So this doesnt come as a surprise.

Mosley is an added bonus to the ppv name, GBP gave him a position for the company as a scout and will deliver him low paydays until one arises. Mosley will never be in a large spotlight again but GBP will continue to make him look like one to make money off of him.

To get him to sign with GBP...Mosley had a great amateur career and he will scout the AM talent so it should suit him well...But mainly as an added incentive to sign and cash in on him.
