Default What is the deal with injuries and boxers?

Just read where Carl Froch is out for the Oct. date with Abraham. I thought this tourney would play a big part in ressurecting boxing but with all the injuries and negotiations with Direll and Ward, I dont think its helping at all. Boxers are so fragile compared to mma athletes evidently.
I have always been a bigger fan of boxing over mma but am slowing making the switch. Mainly because when a fight needs to be made in mma it gets made. Boxing on the other hand leaves so much to be desired. We didnt get hopkins jones 2 till they were old timers same with lewis tyson, and so many other fights and now manny and floyd is probably gonna be the same. We very rarely get to see two prime boxers fight anymore. something needs to change or boxing is in big trouble.
