Judging by the options listed, it's not a poll.

It's a showcase of how ignorant and petty you are.

            hmm

The option I voted for, which you forgot to put because I guess you dislike Hopkins very much, was the following:

Hopkins was a great champ for a long time because he was better than anyone else at middleweight from 1993 to 2005. He beat good fighters in a thorough fashion, including Echols (twice), Allen (twice), Eastman, Trinidad, De La Hoya, Mercado, Vanderpool, Glen Johnson, and so forth. He made B-class and C-class fighters alike look D-class. Hopkins put up a pretty good fight to Roy Jones as well, which was his only loss for 12 years. Hopkins was consistently good and kept the titles for a long time, in his own way. I respect Hopkins' decision as a manager and his success as a fighter.

Having said all that, I dislike him. He says very hurtful and rude things to men to get in their heads. He fights illegally way too often, and had a KO victory off of an illegal punch before. His style is quite annoying in most cases. He really should have took a 2nd fight with Roy for the amount Roy offered, and he should have probably taken the fight with James Toney that fell through in 2003 (not sure if Don King might have tired to cheat Hopkins which would have caused Hops to back out).

I respect, but do not like Hopkins as a fighter.

Thanks JuyJuy, it's funny that half of these Hopkins fans, didn't really knew Hopkins like 3 or 4 years ago. Nobody mentioned how great Hopkins was like 3 or 4 years ago.

No I don't dislike Hopkins. I dislike the blind Hopkins nut-huggers, that didn't even knew who Hopkins was like 4 years ago.

Totally agree with ya SL what a lotta people dont relaise is that HOP has got better with age like a fine wine whereas guys like Tyson etc do not have HOPs discipline so they fade as they get older but HOP is the guy who always stayed hingry to keep winning and saw age as just a number. HOP is one the best ever becos he got rid of 20 guys with a variety of different styles ,studyin his opponent and workin the best way to get him.

I disagree tho that hes been the best middleweight from 1993 to 2005 becos in 93 and 94 it was obviously Gman and Roy who was the best two middleweights.but since they moved up to super middle it has been HOP all the way and he has got better with age like a fine wine
