since Zoo got old overnight I began to wonder if it will
        affect Hopkins too.

People have lost a lot of bread trying to time the fight when Hopkins "gets old". With Taylor and Winky on the horizon though, I could see it finally happening.

The EA sports curse isn't going to be a problem this year.

            Ricky Hatton destroyed Kostya Tszyu.

Actually Hatton was the underdog, so the Curse still lives. Think about it. Jones wasn't the underdog when he fought. When everybody who has fallen victim to the EA Curse, they weren't the underdog. When you're the underdog and you're the cover athlete, the Curse works in reverse. Think about how many people didn't give Hatton much of a chance. Hell, just check the betting stuff on here.

              The curse lives on...

zoo said he felt he was in the best condition of his life just before the fight, maybe hatton was just very good.

Hatton is obviously better then most thought. Its hard to keep track
of the European scene when you live in the US. So its hard to say
what was Hatton's power and what was Zoos age. Zoo pretty early
started sucking for air. So its always hard to say. Roy Jones suddenly
lost all his speed and showed his porcellan chin.

Hopkins always seemed disciplined and well trained in his last fights.
So if this is his farewell I assume he will be well prepared.

Like some other poster said its probably better for the division
if he looses so we dont have the problem like in the HW division
with no star or undisputed champion at all.

Believe it or not (although it's hard to verify now that BI keeps crashing), I said in a post that I made in early 2003 Hatton that would be in the top 10 P4P in the world by 2005 or 2006.

Hatton fights were actually not hard to come by. Showtime showed Hatton constantly (including many re-runs of his old fights) and I probably saw him as often if not more often than any other fighter over the last couple years.
