There been 4 similar cases here in the past month. The first guy killed like 4 kids i think and was already executed by the Chinese government. They don't play, you break a law you will pay for it.
Overall Chinese people are calm and cheerful people. There 1.3 billion people here, so your going to have some crazies.
One thing though, is that schools all have security guards from what I can see. I tought elementary students in Shandong and we had 1 gate in with a security guard. Granted it was a older man he checked everyone who came into the school during class time. After class I think he just watched who came in. Every school I see is like this.
