Did you just find out about George Carlin? I've seen most of his stand-ups over a 100 times, ATG comedian. I can always find a clip of him and use it as a response to many different topics, because he covers it all.

But he wouldn't approve of his quotes being used to promote mass hysteria and push an agenda for conspiracy theories. Yes we should think for ourselves, that's his core message as he was speaking in broad terms BUT that doesn't mean that one has to get on bandwagon with the arm-chair warriors who think that 9/11 was in inside job, that the govt is covering up UFO/Aliens, or that there is one evil NWO-esque entity that's the brain and operation behind keeping citizens stupid & uninformed.

Naw I know Carlin and his beliefs but I never heard this piece before. When he says I never listen to any thing the Govt tells me he nailed it man. This was a powerful message. The core of this message is what I been trying to convey to people in the PM's I get. We are being force fed stuff. Whatever the TV says is gospel. But its deeper then that. Wayyy deeper.

Well since you belive in God and Jesus, i'm sure Carlin would love to send you a highlight video of, "Please wake up from religion and the rubbish it feeds you" but to each it's own.

He feels just as strong about the negative influence of mass organized religion (whether packaged into christianity, judiasm or islam) as he does about Government. So selectively using his one message to promote your viewpoint while taking the other with a grain of salt seems funny.

He's also right about religion. I'm not spinning anything.

I know he didn't say anything about 9/11 or 2012, and he wouldn't.

But that's not gonna stop people from using his lines to promote one or the other. But you're the one telling the forum to wake up, so i'm letting you know what it is.

Nobody needs Carlin, a comedian (brilliant comedian) talking about Government to make up their mind. He's there to be funny, taking serious issues and making light of them. Not to enlighten people. If his message about religion isn't enlightening you (which it should't) then you shouldn't expect somebody to be englightened about his talk on Government.
