I think both have fought top opposition. The reason people downplay Floyd's competition is because Floyd makes them look like they don't even belong in the ring with him. Floyd dominates his competition, nevertheless he still has solid good fighters in his resume. Shane Mosley has good fighters in his resume to, and he beat a prime Oscar who gave Floyd problems in a fight were he was past his prime.

I think Mosley has faced the toughest opponents by a slight edge...but facing and defeating are two different things..Mayweather has defeated the tougher opponents imo..take away the losses..Forrest/Winky/Cotto..and the list isnt as strong imo..
