Where did he say he wanted to fight those fighters? He was making a point. The Delahoya fight was all about money and Hopkins drained himself to 156 pounds for the fight at Delahoya's request. Hopkins did fight Tarver at 175 and Tarver is bigger than Hopkins. So the arguments that he won't fight bigger fighters are absurd.

Again, where does it say Hopkins was looking for these fights? It doesn't. You're going by what a third party said. Publicly Hopkins called out Roy Jones. When did he ever publicly go after Reid, Mosley or Vargas?

Come fight night Hopkins rehydrated back up to 169 lbs, if you watch the fight again you will hear Jim Lampley mention it.

Well Merchant, why would they want me to fight a heavyweight? What is the problem with me calling out a fighter who's at 154 pounds? What is worse? Me fighting a guy that is 6 pounds away from me or me moving up to fight someone who is 30 pounds heavier than me.

The fight was at 170 and Pavlik is a huge middlweight. Bigger than Hopkins was. And Pavlik called out Hopkins and claimed he would knock him out as most [people thought. After Pavlik lost the "he was too small excuse" is played. Not to mention he's almost 20 years younger. To overlook Hopkins age is just ridiculous.

Yes it does. The first interview is with Hopkins himself and the other interview is with his trainer Bouie fisher.
