Default Championship fighting - Jack Dempsey

Been reading this alot lately

Does anyone have a video example of the trigger step?

I've tried it a few times, and it just seems awkward and not right, I just wanted to check I'm doing it right

Thanks if you can help

Floyd Mayweather Jr, every single (I mean by iteself, a single left hand quick punch) jab, he does the trigger step forward very fast, giving him momentum as well as a bit more range on his thunderous jab, only difference is once the punch lands, he pushes off his front foot, and gets back into position, rather then slide the back foot forward.

Floyd does the trigger step and moves back, as to not get hit. Dempsey did the trigger step and kept moving forward, as to set up another shot.

Long story short = Watch any Floyd Mayweather Jr fight and watch his jab, he steps his left foot out, in almost a stomping motion, jabs, and then brings the left foot back by pushing off the ground.

Hope this helped a little.
