    Ring Magazine Welterweight Ranking: Pacquiao is Number 1 - According to Ring Magazine, Pound for Pound #1 Manny Pacquiao is also now the number 1 welterweight and jr. welterweight in the world after defeating Miguel Cotto.

    Miguel Cotto, who is now at number 4, has fought the majority of the top 10 welterweights. "I fought everybody and Manny is one of the best all time," Cotto said.

    Meanwhile, former number 2 Floyd Mayweather, who defeated Juan Manuel Marquez, is now at number 3.

    Welterweight champion Shane Mosley, the former number 1, slides to number 2. Shane is a fighter who wants to fight Mayweather and Pacquiao. He defeated Antonio Margarito for a welter title. He is trying to unify the welterweight belts through his upcoming fight with Andre Berto (another belt holder) this January 2010. Mosley is one of the name that is being considered by Pacquiao to fight next should the Mayweather vs Pacquiao not go through.

        I think the list looks about right, Lets be honest since he came back he has only beaten Marquez who was probably not even rated at Welter,

        I still see Shane as Number one in the division though

          Floyd should not really be on that list at all. Pac should be No. 2 i think Mosley still owns the No. 1 spot for beating Margarito. Plus Mosley is fighting another top Welterweight which is Berto in January.

            Nice, but as big a PBF fan as iam he hasnt fought enough in the last 2 yrs to be a top 3 WW.. maybe p4p but not WW the division is to deep!

                Floyd jr. is top #2 in the p4p he just beat marquez. if hatton beat marquez hatton should be top #3 p4p since he loss to mayweather jr. and pacquiao

                  I'm a huge Pac fan but even I know he doesn't deserve to be the #1 WW. #2 at the most but #1? Eh.

                    I agree, Shane is the no 1 ww, how does beating Cotto put Pac above Mosely?
                    Floyd shouldn't be on that list.
