David Tua talks Haye, Klitschko and more.

On NZ Radio Sport last night they had a phone interview with David Tua. They were discussing the Haye fight and what it meant for the division.

Tua had some interesting points, asked if he would like to fight Haye in the future Tua said he would, however it was unlikley for the forseeable future. He cited the difficulties of dealing with the WBA, the fact that he is regional champion and ranked by the WBO and his two fight contract with Maori Television as difficulties in arranging the fight. Tua said Haye first has to get past John Ruiz, who Tua said is a difficult fighter on occasion, and after that Haye would probably choose someone ranked by the WBA, rather than risk a fight with him. Tua said he doesn't want to wait around for years trying to get a mandatory shot at Haye and is instead aiming to become WBO number one contender in 2010 and fight Wladamir Klitschko. He said once he wins that one, a unification fight between him and Haye would create huge interest in america due to their offensive styles.

Tua would kill Haye in the ring in the first round. Haye would be signing a death wish if he took a fight against a live opponent. Not some large boxer that Chagaev already beat in more impressive fashion when Valuev was younger and better at that time in 2007. Chagaev already beat Valuev, the british hype around Haye is really ridiculous.

Haye better hope Vitali takes on Tua, Wlad better hope that too. The quicker Tua is out of the title contention the better for Haye and Wlad.

Well Tua is bad much up for Haye there is no doubt, but you never now. Chagaev beat younger Valuev but there is no way he was better fighter than now. After Chagaev's fight they changed his trainer and with new camp Valuev become much "sharper" and "accurate". So I think Haye beat better version of Valuev than Chagaev

Wlad could beat Tua but I agree its a very risky fight for him... And he could lose to Tua... However, I could not see David Haye doing anything to beat Tua. I'm not too impressed by David Haye yet. I'm still waiting for him to fight a live opponent like Povetkin, Chambers, Tua, or Arreola someone like that.

Would love to see Haye vs Tua.Tua would have too much for him though (as much as I like Haye).

He isn't getting Wlad, Wlads already fighting Chambers.

Wlad is fighting chambers early next year, Haye is fighting ruiz in may 10 and then by the looks of it Valuev rematch in december 10

Tua is ranked #7 by the WBO which has Wlad as its champon. He is not ranked by the WBA which has Haye as its champion. As Tua said, the only way he could get a wba title shot is if Haye goes out of his way to give Tua a shot, which will not happen.

Tua is not fighting again until early 2010, and his opponent is likely to be Friday Ahunanya, who is unranked by any organisation. This sort of opposition is not going to get tua a title shot.

In summary, early 2011 Wlad will bast tua into retirement, as long as tua doesnt get fat and lose in his eliminator (he is at least 2 fights away from challenging wlad) and Tua vs Haye will never happen
