I dont know what difference a 24/24 ring would make on fight night but maybe Cotto is training to cut off the ring with a bigger ring just to get himself use to it in a smaller ring on fight night.

It's officially going to be a 24x24 ring? That's one big ring, it should favor Pacquiao.

hes preparing him self for the worst case scenario!

I agree a bigger ring favors pac.....
and thats why I think and im sure that cotto wont be in the counter puncher mode... he will seek pac...

Agree, Pac will be on his bicycle for the first 8 rounds.

After that, it will be Cotto riding his bicycle with only one wheel and a flat tire (see shades of Margarito and Clottey fight).

Miguel will be mugged by the 12th.

Well then it's pretty smart, he'll need to cut off the ring on Pacquiao.

But I think Cotto is also working on using the ring and being a counterpuncher, if and when he needs to.
