Default Salvador Sanchez vs Wilfredo Gomez

I just saw the fight for the first time and I gotta say that it was one great fight. They were really at war.

I thought Gomez showed great courage from round one, when he got knocked down. It looked as if the fight was gonna be over but he stayed up like a true warrior. You have to give him his credit for staying in that fight until the eighth round, when Sanchez finished him off. He wanted to continue, after the knockdown in the eighth, but the referee stopped the fight.

This really showed how great of a boxer Sanchez was. I also liked how, between the seventh and eighth rounds, Gomez' trainer was thinking of stopping the fight while Sanchez was sitting on his stool all by himself, just calm and relaxed. He looked untouched. I'm thinking of watching his fight with Azumah Nelson, next.

What did you think of the fight?
