floyd fans going wild over the ppv #s, give some credit to this man...

i constantly hear people giving alot of credit to floyd for whoopin on haters and ufc, floyd is a major draw in boxing, but give my boy some credit too man. top mexicans always sell fights, there is a reason why this fight was held on mexican indepenance weekend, there is a reason why de la hoya-mayweather was held on 5 de mayo. he helps sell fights. he was involved in the highest selling ppv fight below welterweight(400k PPV) before hatton-pac. you might say that he has neer been in the big type of fights that mayweather has been in but mayweather never reached 400k before the de la hoya fight. you might say that few casual fans knew of Marquez and refered to him as "that mexican dude that mayweather is fighting", but it was the same case in the mexican community, alot of people refered to mayweather as "that black dude that marquez is fighting". there is a whole nother market out there with the mexican community and thats why promoters always try to target that market. bob arum has a "mexicans for manny" campaing for a reason. ALL the mexicans were talking about this fight. this fight was all over hispanic television, newspaper, and radio. commentators would talk about this fight during soccer games. the at&t sponsor that GBP was able to aquire was for their viva mexico cell phone package plan. tv stations were running a jmm at&t commercial all day...so on so forth. but all of this was a side of the promotion that you did not get exposed to unless you were latino.

For sure Marquez gets credit...there no way in hell it was all Floyd. However, you can't deny Mayweather was the main draw.

I hope marquez used the exposure he got from this fight, and turn himself into a p.p.v attraction like Hatton did after the mayweather fight !!

but the truth of the matter is, it takes 2 to make a megga match.
Marquez did do his part. He took one for the team by drinking his piss..
Although he always does that i heard starting 6 fights ago...

      so Marquez deserves some credit.!

But the DRAW in this fight was Mayweather.
but Marquez proved he has star potential ...
now lets see what he does with it!!

Mad props to Marquez for calling out the P4P King.

I was expecting him to bullrush Floyd in the same manner that baby Bull Juan Diaz did against him even if for only the first four rounds.

But Marquez showed a lot of respect for Floyd after the first knock down.

The man has a big heart and fought on 'til the end.

So, cong**** to Juan Manuel Marquez.
