DId Rustico Torrecampo Give Cotto The Blueprint To Victory?

Not sure who saw the whole fight but Torrecampo pitched a masterpiece that night, despite being the much smaller man. The pawing jab, the sidestep, the patience, all attributes Cotto is more than capable of employing.

lmao, man that fight was damn near 15 years ago. Pac was like 8 years old. I really hope cotto DOESN'T use that fight as a blueprint or else he's going to be in for a rude awakening.

It's like if someone used the Roy Jones win over Hopkins as a blue print to beat the 44 year old version of b-hop. Two different guys in the ring.

Or someone using the Ali win over George Foreman even though they are about to fight the 46 year old version.

    etc.

So patience and lateral movement is a thing of the old and not relevant today?

patience and lateral movement is common sense in any fight, using a very old fight of a very young and undeveloped pacquiao for a blueprint isn't.

Pacquiao is so very different today then he was back then, he's evolved so much.

You want a blue print? Study the second JMM fight, try to pick up on habits that pacquiao does in the ring, take note of what worked well for JMM and what didn't.

cotto has said that he's going to fight behind the jab like marquez did in his fight...that's what he's going to do, if cotto outboxed shane...he can outbox manny.

I hope not... because that would sound like DESPERATION on Team Cotto's part.

                Hilarious notion.
