So, this is how I had it on the second viewing - without all of the excited, nervous adrenaline that usually takes over on a first watch. Without completely muting the sound, I tried to block out Lederman's coke-headed ramblings and the commentators' nuthugging. With every round viewed objectively and without bias (even though I was supporting Clottey on the night) this is what I got...
I can see how some people would score rounds 10 and 11 for Cotto, but I just could not give them to him because he wasn't doing anything effective whilst backpedalling - just punches blocked by Clottey all the way, whilst the latter sneaked in some clean shots spread out over the 6 minutes. He was doing the effective boxing.
