He's ranked at #7 by the WBA:

Povetkin will have an low-risk stay-active fight while he's waiting for Waldimir in August.

I'm still not sold on Povetkin having the stones to step up and fight Wlad next.

As for this fight, seems about right for Povetkin...even if Wawrzyk is terrible, it's nowhere near as bad as Rahman.

He is also almost 2m tall with decent jab and really good movement, unknown dont always mean bad, I would take Wawrzyk over Charr, Wach and other stationary guys, as long as he can stay away from hard punches this will be a good fight, the moment he gets hit he goes down.

If it happens, yes.

Wawrzyk is ranked #7 by the WBA, they just moved him up from #14.
