Is Haye vs. Klitchko going to be the biggest boxing event in the past 20 years?

They're projecting 70K +. This will be a global boxing event. When was the last time there was a fight this HUGE?

I hope you Haye haters realize that regardless of whether Haye wins or not, this wouldn't be possible without him. This will put Wlad on another level of celebrity.

THat didn't have even close to 70,000 ppl there. MGM Grand can't hold that much but maybe PPV Mayweather-De La Hoya and Tyson-Lewis does better but as for live attendance? This one is one of the biggest heavyweight draws of the last few decades.

No, probably not. It is, however, an event that shows that the US is no longer as central to the boxing world as it once was. It no longer needs an American fighter or an American venue to make what probably is the biggest HW fight, at least, since Lewis v. Tyson.

i was talking about what it meant for boxing. the money may and oscar made was ridiculous.
and tyson vs lennox meant something to the people who felt they needed to know who the greatest heavyweight of the last era was.

I'm a fan of David Haye's now, and forever for what he's done with this fight.

Even his biggest haters have to give the man some credit on this one, he's creating more buzz for this fight than Wlad has created in his entire career.

Call it cheap talk, gutter talk, trash talk, smash mouth, whatever you want, but it gets people talking, and it sells.

Even if Wlad knocks Haye out in the first round, I will forever be a fan of Haye's because of what he's done here.

That said, I want him to go get those fucking straps and make us all proud.

I've come to accept the fact that it'll be a long time before I see an American Heavyweight as the king of the division. Haye is my boy for doing this, win, lose, or draw.

I can't even remember the last Heavyweight fight I was excited about.
