Now let me see: Who's overrated? The man who beat George Foreman, Sonny Liston twice, and Joe Frazier twice.....

    or

.....the man who took one-punch KOs from Oliver McCall and Hasim Rahman? Damn, this is a toughie

Don't get me wrong, he was a great heavyweight, but the media made him out to be more than he was.

He was in a lot of close fights, and received at least three gift decisions in his pro career.

He was knocked down by the smaller Englishman Cooper in 1963.

He was knocked down and defeated by Joe Frazier at age 29.

He went life and death for 15 rounds and was knocked down by a limited journeyman called Chuck Wepner.
the guy should never have beat cooper imo.but he is great,no doubt

                  no.

maybe his skills get a bit overrated but his resume can't be overrated even if one tries.

example: holyfield has one of the best resume's ever in heavyweight boxing. ali's resume ****s on evander's resume.

He fought a lot of opponents like Blin and Bonaventa with whom he had about a 12" reach advantage.
