Freddie Roach: Interview Last Night On Pacquiao and Khan (AUDIO)

Roach said some fascinating things to On The Grind Boxing last night. He admitted that he doesn't believe Hatton will get KO'd by round 3 but that he would definitely get KO'd at some point during the mid to late stages of the fight. According to Roach, Pacman KO'd 4 sparring partners during training.

Surprisingly, Roach also stated that if Khan beats Kotelnik and Pacquiao beats Hatton, it would be a real possibilty that Hatton would want to fight Khan in the UK for his newly-acquired JWW belt! Being from the same country, Hatton might view Khan as perhaps the most logical route to recapturing a belt in the division.

Interview starts around 5 minutes into the show...

Roach is being taken to court for assault. Apparently someone refused to leave the Wildcard Gym after meeting Pacquiao, he fell to the floor and claimed Roach hit him!

The links in the first post, Roach said it in the interview last night. He said after the guy fell to the floor, he told him to get up and leave the gym immediately. The guy then went to the parking lot, fell down again and claimed that he'd been assaulted by Roach. Roach isn't worried about it because there were a lot of witnesses.

That fight will never happen.Hatton wants to be seen as the best in Britain and also feels like he worked hard to get to where he is.He will never give another British fighter his biggest payday just like he wouldnt do with Witter.Witter had a WBC belt and the fight would have paid Hatton more than most guys Hatton fought but still he didnt take the fight.

Hatton is a very proud man.He would rather keep people guessing who the best British fighter is hence his need to fight foeign fighters.

Hatton had Marquez on the list then Mayweather.Mayweather is going for Marquez because he wants to destroy Hatton's base.He will beat Marquez then Hatton will be forced to fight Floyd in September.

Hatton would destroy Khan, that fight has less than zero chance of happening.

The thing is Khan is already a massive draw in the UK and becoming more popular in the U.S., partly due to his association with Freddie Roach. If these two were to fight in the UK it would probably be one of the most lucrative fights in British boxing history. The amount of money it could generate might be too much for either boxer to refuse.
