Default BOM-BA-YE 2003 became BOM-BA-BROKEN!

From man-magazine.nl:

BOM-BA-YE 2003 became BOM-BA-BROKEN!

Tokyo, Japan – January 29th - The worst dream of every organization that might happen, happened to Antonio Inoki at his last event (December 1st 2003) as the promoter Mr. Kawamata together with his businessparter, the Croatian Mr. Miakovich took all the money and left the country!

The travel organization has an open invoice of approximately US$ 360.000 but almost all the fighters like Nagata, Yasuda, Fujita, Murakami and Josh Barnet didn’t receive any penny!

The Pancrase organization who was willing to take care of the ring and technical stuff didn’t receive their money either so it became one big disaster.

The only one who received their money are K-1 who represented Amada and McDonald because they wanted the money upfront; K-1 cashed on December 27th.

Bas Boon, the manager of Golden Glory team, paid his fighters out of his own pocket and it seems that he has been pulled a leg as well. It’s just one big mess and probably the biggest scandal in the history of Japanese Martial Arts since 1960!

It’s a weird situation as Miakovich and Bas Boon are related because of the Russian ‘Red Devil Team’ – Emelianko changed camps to Red Devil. All happens at the same time but it might be a coincidence of course.

But another ‘victim’ is NIPPON TV who appeared on the poster as sponsor is being held responsible for the missing money now as well. The CEO is under big pressure as fighters and managers are trying to get their fighting purse now from the sponsor.

Last news was that Kawamata was spotted in Hawaii and Miaskovich in Australia. We hope to inform you more about this matter soon and hopefully everything will be cleared!

One thing is very strange... we coudn't find any Japanese Newspaper that published anything in this matter (YET!!!).
