He was definitely out on his feet and even his corner seemed to know he was done. It was just that his reputation of being a warrior and having a good chin probably allowed him to enter the 9th round.

cotto put the knee and he was a *****..... now we hve to see how he reacts.. and how much did the fight with margo took away from him.....

but for me.. it was a smart decision by cotto taking that knee..

and wrong from margies corner to let him continue that fight....

The round was almost over and he got up before he was counted out. If you're still standing and responding to the ref, and walk towards the ref, you can continue. Sorry no KO here.
