For When JC Gomez Is Away - Carnivore
Default Klitschko's WBC title defense set for Stuttgart

FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) — Vitaly Klitschko's mandatory WBC heavyweight title defense against Juan Carlos Gomez of Cuba on March 21 will be held in Stuttgart.

The Ukrainian had been hoping to fight David Haye in June in London, but will instead take on the No. 1-ranked challenger by the WBC.

Klitschko's management announced Tuesday that the fight will take place in Hanns-Martin-Schleyer hall in the southern German city.

Gomez, a former cruiserweight champion, has lost only one of 46 fights. Klitschko has a 36-2 record, making a comeback out of an injury-induced retirement to beat Samuel Peter in October

I downloaded and watched the Gomez-Virchis fight over the weekend.

Virchis appeared to be ill - he lost weight before the fight, and wasn't as muscular. He was always slow, but in this fight he seemed to have lost his power. Surprisingly, he hit Gomez quite a lot but didn't seem to hurt him.

JC Gomez clearly won the fight, but he didn't fight like an elite heavyweight! He doesn't seem nearlky as quick as he was at cruiserweight, and didn't seem as slick as he was against Samil Sam and McCall.

If Vitali fights as well as he did against Peter, Gomez will be stopped somewhere between the 6th and 9th rounds!

Gomez hasn't been fighting anywhere near his best for a long time. I'm assuming he's going to train very hard and give himself the best possible chance given the magnitude of this fight. Gomez takes some shots but if he's landing three in return then all is good.

Fights like he does against Peter? Gomez won't be standing in front of him like a meathead. You can hardly compare Peter to Gomez.
