Default head movment?

Been working on my head movment latley and i watched a freddie roach training dvd the other day and he says that 90% of the time if you finish a combination on left hook then youre opponents counter would be the right hand so you would roll under it and step out to youre left and like wise if you finish on a right hand then youre opponent is most likley to throw a left hand and you should roll under and to your right is this true?I didnt know this and i seem to have developed a bad habbit of trying to roll to my right after throwing the left hook which im trying to correct now.Does anyone know any good drills that i can practice on my own to make this become more automatic?

The truth of the matter is that there is no set responce for any punch or counter punch. different people fight different, just like finger prints no one fights the same as anyone else. some people fight simular but never the same, so with that being said work on movement. move you feet and if your feet arent moving move your torso and if your torso isnt moving move your head but something has to be moving at all times. just keep that in mind and dont worry about specific movements. like a master once said "BE LIKE WATER"

Makes sense because when you throw your left hook you first dip your body to the left and follow through with body movement to the right, if you roll under the right counter to the left again it completes a circular motion, helps maintain blance, and it is constant motion .

If you just roll to the right you could leave yourself off balance.

You could just practice on the bag or do pad work with your coach, asking him to throw a right at you after the hook.

But like dchampishere said there is no set response thats gonna work all the time
