Dundee's rep will never be tarnished. After training Ali, SRL, Foreman... I don't think his stint as an assistant will overshadow everything else. Dundee didn't even really do anything any way as far as preparing Oscar. He was just brought in to create some buzz around the fight. Plus what else could he have said? Oscar's writing the check.

For people who only care about what's happened in the last fight someone was involved in and who don't know much of anything beyond the last 5 years or so they make lose some respect for Dundee, but the fact is that there wasn't a better trainer in boxing in the 60s, 70s and 80s. That's forever...it'll never change. He could live to be 150 and be on the losing end of every fight he's involved in from now and until then and it won't change the fact that he's one of the greatest trainers of all time.
