For those few who actually think that P.Will avoided a Margarito rematch.....

.....before Margarito defeated Cotto. Not true.

Here is a timetable of how things went down following the Margarito-Williams fight:

    1. Margarito said that a rematch wasn't necessary because he thought he beat Williams.

    2. A few weeks later, Margarito changed his tune and subliminally admitted that he lost the fight saying that he didn't start out busy enough and that he will start workin' earlier next time.

    3. He then took that new game plan and took it out on world beater Golden Johnson even though he was Williams's WBO mandatory and could've enforced his position at anytime.

    4. He then completely abonded his WBO mandatory spot and went after the IBF title against a guy he already defeated and made cry the first time around. Williams made a optional defense against Quintana and lost but got his title back with a first round Ko. You know, actually avenging his loss...something Tijuana does not do.

    5. During the Margarito/Cintron post-fight interview, he didn't mention Williams and called out Cotto saying, "he must fight me".

    6. After beating Cotto, Goosen made a 4million dollar offer to him and The 8 Million Dollar Man turned it down and now accepted a less risky fight for half as much money, 2mill.

CONCULSION: Mayweather turning down 8mill to fight Margarito, for a less risky fight for the linear title and still making 8mill and going on to fight for 20 mill in The World Awaits = Good Business Decision. Margarito turning down 4mill for a 2million dollar fight = Bad business decision.

The Difference: Mayweather COULD'VE beaten Margarito but chose the bigger money, less risky fights. And Margarito CANNOT beat Williams and therefore chose the less risky fights for less money.

Wait a minute, I guess that means that Margarito actually did make a good business decision. . Scratch out the above in blue font.

the hillarious part about this thread is that it isn't at all backed up by anything..
everyone knows it. Margo was kicking and screaming rematch right after he lost.
Williams didn't want the rematch until he beat Cotto.

I just read Pancho Gonzales's response to your thread. Looks like he is one of those few who need to read this timetable.

Williams did not turn down any rematches.

Sure it is backed up, read #1 and 3.

Sidnote: When you're a WBO mandatory, isn't it the challangers responsibility to enforce that position and force the champion to fight you??? Did Tijuana do that?

U mean the way nobody had any good responses to my thread titled "Breakdown of how Floyd ducked Marg"?

Typical Floyd response's in that thread. "stop beating a dead horse" , "So what, he's retired", "floyd would've beat him anyway', "etc....... LOL

what I meant is that you didn't give any sources.
I can just make a thread with bull**** claims to make it seem like I'm right.. unless I back it up what I have posted has NO merit.
and why would he do that after Williams avoided him, he had Cotto right in his sights by that time.

but if it helps you sleep at night the think whatever you like.. wlad is ducking Williams too
