Default Anyone think De La Hoya-Pacquiao will be fixed?

I may get a lot of hate on this but i really feel this way. I know a lot of people make a big deal about the size difference and i am one of them. There is no reason why DLH cannot stop him within 12 rounds. If it goes 12 i think it will be De La Hoya letting Pacquiao hang around. I know Pacquiao can box and use speed but i feel if De La Hoya hits him cleanly with a left hook he will drop like a fly.

Pacquiao is a great fighter and deserves his p4p ranking but the weight is too much in my opinion. Say what you want but i think DLH is gonna let Pacquaio win rounds to make it look competitive. If he lets Pacquaio go 12, it would be a ploy to lure Mayweather out of retirement to show Pacquaio hung in with a guy several weight classes heavier.

Sorry but thats how i feel about this fight

Good logic here. DLH might let him have a few rds to keep himself from gettin flamed too bad.

Manny does not have the power to make Oscar respect him. Oscar can rush Pacquiao and put him to sleep in 4. But like you said something is up and I dont see that happening.

I'll be lieing if i havn't thought about that. Imagine Pac v. Hatton that a big fight and becomes huge is Pac wins, Delahoya already has Hatton signed, he could make a deal with Arum and more money for Delahoya.

But I dont' think he'll do that. I do think he'll let him work for a few round then drown him out. But i worry that Pac will stay on the outside and run.

If you look at the Marquez fight Marquez hurt Pacquiao several times, I watch the fight and can't belive they robbed Marquez. Unless Delahoya is a shit loads slower then Marquez, Delahoays punchs will land on Pac and he'll put him down and out.

I think Oscar will try to give himself every disadvantage possible. For instance:

Oscar will come into the fight terribly weight drained
Oscar will peak too early in his training on purpose
Oscar might not get much sleep the night before
Oscar will have sex minutes before the fight
He will eat a ton of beef jerky the morning of the fight

I think Oscar wants manny to do well but I don't think he wants the fight to be too obviously fixed

Good points! Actually i'm one of the ones who think almost like you. i think pac is way out off his weight and It could last 12, but very doubtful.

I was thinking the same thing...I think they have an agreement that Oscar will carry PACMAN in the late rounds and not try and finish him.
