RJJ losing to Calzaghe is like Joe Louis losing ot Marciano

The best comparison due to Rocky's/Calslappy's unbeaten records.

And we all know who the better fighter/heavyweight champion was.

Yeah, I think overall that is a pretty fair analogy tbh.

Except that Marciano managed to knock Louis out.
Better would be Terry Norris versus Sugar Ray Leonard.

Did you think Roy Jones would hand Calzaghe his first loss? Infact weren't you admant it would happen?

Wow. Comparing Calzaghe to Marciano is a major step forward. There may be some hope for you yet.

Would be a fair analogy if we were talking about Dawson, but Calzaghe's at the end of his career too...

but looking at it as one great beating a better great who is a bit over the hill, makes it a better analogy than if Dawson had been swapped with Calzaghe... Dawson isn't, and will in all likelihood never, be considered great

JC and Jones are both past their best, but it's clear that Jones is a lot further gone

Yes and the Roy Jones of old that I knew would have beaten him just as a prime Joe Louis would have handed Marciano his ass.

                    I was wrong.
