Who's gonna be The Ring's fighter of the year?

Obviously if Ping Ping manages to get past Oscar then he's a shoe in at this stage, but no one's really done anything of note, have they? I mean in terms of 2+ fights or so on. Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm getting old, my memory's going.

I think if it happened now (and Joe wins tonight) then the Ring's bull**** policy of calling people "legends" (regardless of how old or shot they are) would mean they'd give it to Joe for two wins over two "legends", plus his probable retirement. I'd actually like it if they did that, cos it'd piss off half of NSB and that would be funny.

However, with no real standouts this year then......... why don't they just give it to Danny Williams?

too early to call, there is still alot of big fights happening

but RIGHT now, im between marg and vitali, id say b-hop but he lost to calzaghe.

there arent any super stand outs right now though. it seems like there were quite a few great fights this year, but alot of people only fought once in 08.

If Calzaghe beats Jones then him, if Pacman beats DLH then it will be him.

If Joe wins, probably him. Unless Pac beats Oscar.

Joe can take it if he wins over RJ. Pac's gettin KTFO so that'll take him outta the runnin, even tho that loss shouldn't count at all. If Joe loses his fight, Marg might get it for his 2 KO's in back to back title fights at WW.

                CURRENTLY: Margarito

AFTER TONIGHT: Calzaghe if he wins, Jones if he wins (maybe)

AFTER PACMAN/ODLH: Pacquiao if he wins.

                  Antonio Margarito period point blank.

Calzaghe won a split decision over Hopkins while not looking great doing it.

Tony KOd two welters in their primes.

Joe is fighting these guys at the tail end of their careers.
