So what if Kelly Pavlik really has a legitimate excuse for his performance

Just wondering what people would think if Kelly Pavlik has a legitimate excuse or excuses? Sure he got beat convincingly by a legend. But I've said all along something wasn't right with him. And no its wasnt Bernard Hopkins. The Kelly that fought last saturday could have gotten beat by 100 fighters not just Hopkins.

Pavlik just got outclassed. Hopkins beat him then, and he would beat him any time they fought.

I dont think he was too affected by that, I'm sure Loew would've opened his pie hole by now.

I mean yeah it could of been the extra weight.. But i think it was both, It was the weight and it was Hopkins. And I think it was more Hopkins then anything else. Hopkins had a great gameplan in there and executed it to perfection. Kelly had no answers at all and looked lost in the very first round. He just needs to go back down to 160 thats his best weight.

Don't deny Bernard his cred for this win. He won fair and square in a fight many picked him to lose or even be KO'd.

If their fighter wasn't ready, Loew and crew should've postponed the fight. The first rule of boxing is to defend yourself at all times. If his condition was clearly going to impact his ability to perform in the ring against an experienced veteran like Hopkins, they are negligent for not saying something prior to the fight. So even if that's the case, which is an unlikely excuse, they get no sympathy from me.

LOL! The vindy is Pavlik's hometown's newspaper. The elbow wasn't a big deal and all that other **** is fake too.

For me at least, this "It wasn't me" is probably the worst kind of excuse.

It's made even made worse when you look at Pavlik in any of his fights and you can see the holes in his style that a smart and skillful fighter like Hopkins could exploit.
