I just saw Rivera-Simms last night on Shotime.
How did you feel about the stoppage (at the time)? Did you think it was a bit premature and were you thinking of possibly throwing in the towel for Rivera?
How do you feel about the stoppage now (in hindsight)?

I had no problem with the stoppage...Jose really was not in any kind of groove that night and Simms was very sharp...I am not one for stopping fights...I rarely stop one myself but I dont disagree with the ref that night at all... it was very unlikely that Jose would have been able to turn things around and overcome Simms' momentum. It was just his night

It's funny how Simms loses a very close, disputable decision to Alcine and then completely disappears from the networks and rankings. Just goes to show you that you should never piss off the sanctioning bodies, they hold a grudge like the mafia.
