Default Short Cleto Reyes training gloves(16oz) review

Gloves Link: http://www.ringside.com/DETAIL.ASPX?ID=25224

Comfort/Protection:6.5/10

These gloves are rough on your hands. The glove is wide, and the knuckle and thumbs areas are tight. THe cuff also has some good length to it.

Foam/Padding:9/10

The padding is very dense and thin compared to any other 16oz glove Ive worn. The glove is also harder than any other sparring glove I've worn. It is spread out which makes the glove wider than most.

Looks:9/10

These gloves look exactly like the pro fight gloves, but they are wider.

Overall:9/10

how does it get a 6.5 in the comfort/protection, but the foam/padding is almost a 10, any who i would have to be talked into buying those gloves at 120$ when a pair of title or everlast would do enough for training. for a fight i cant understand stepping it up.

because the foam is durable, tough, hard, and will spread thoughout the gloves.

These are far, far, far, far better than title. They are also better than everlast which are $90.

why would you want cloves with thin padding that supposedly have a lot of crack to them... If i saw someone wearing them i would instantly assume they lack power.

Had a pair of these, and the padding is really hard wouldnt recommend for sparring unless you really want to hurt your sparring partner..

I have a pair of winning gloves, 16oz. They have great padding so hand protection is like a ten out of ten IMO. Funny thing is for 16oz gloves they are extremely light I ve worked with 14oz gloves and they feel great as far as weight but have had hand injuries from using them. With this new pair from winning I feel great protection from the padding but i feel i havent sacrificed speed for it.

Reyes are clearly the champions gloves for a reason. I know the super bag gloves and sometimes the training gloves feel "hard" when you first get them....but that is because the construction is so sturdy and well-built, just hit the heavybag for a week or 2 and break them in, you will soon realize they are the best gloves you'll ever use. PERIOD. I've heard multiple discussions about the Grants being more protective of your hand, and after a personal trial, this is false. Grants are softer, yes, but not as protective for your hand, PERIOD. I never tried winning so I can't testify to winnings protective qualities, but they are $100 more than reyes, so i'll stick to the Reyes. I have had hand injuries in the past and I've experimented with gloves for my protection and REYES ARE THE BEST UNDOUBTEDLY. I love the padding all around on the sides and cuffs, they are great for blocking and catching punches on the gloves without any pain to your hands/wrists/lower arms.

This is the truth about Reyes compared to Grants, Everlasts... im sure theres plenty of "internet recliner chair fighters" on here that probably wear affliction shirts and watch UFC and lift weights, do drugs and think they know about fighting, save your breath and go drink some more weight gainer 5000...boxing is the real deal and if you've been around you'll know Reyes are the choice of pro's for a reason.
