1 Myth of Pacquaio I want to Clarify.

I really like Pac and his fans but after fights you usually see some guys go wayyyy overboard for a fighter.

Anyway.......one thing I hear time and time again is Pac is coming up 30lbs from 106lbs. NOOO. Pac is coming up from 112lbs where he won his first title. Pac is coming up 23lbs, quite impressive you dont need to add fake extra 6lbs.

Pac was what 15-16 years old when he fought around 106lbs.

Same way we dont say Duran came up from 118lbs.

    very true.

    but it sounds more impressive.

like when us royfans say roy won a title at heavyweight. technically he did win a title at heavy but we all know who the real champ at heavy was at the time.

If he was boxing professionally against older fighters then it doesn't matter.

a 16 year old fighting other 16 year olds with 1-0, 0-1, 0-2 records doesnt prove anything.
              It's not relevant.

Well Pac was 16 when he beat 19 year old 4-0-1 Rocky Palma at 107 lbs.

right so it's true but kinda misleading to a non-boxing fan or a non-well versed boxing fan. like you say roy was heavyweight champion and those who know , knows that he wasn't really the "real" heavyweight champ but those who don't know doesn't think that. they think roy was at one point "the heavyweight champion of the world"

same thing for manny. you say he started at 108 , junior flyweight and people are like "wow!!!" 'cause they don't know manny was like 16.

Pac won his first title in 112, then went up 6 weight class to get his 4th title. If you count the Ring belt when he won it against MAB, that is 5th.
