Supposed to be the weight of the fill; but if you got everlast high performance trainers, there's a good chance they're underpadded. Everlast pro trainers aren't supposed to have this problem.
Not all gloves are created equally. I have a pair of ringside ultimate classics that are larger & more thickly padded than some 18 ounce gloves I have. I have a pair of Top Ten Fight Sparring gloves (not superfight 3k) that are 16 ounces of padding over the knuckles, but size wise they look smaller than 10 or 12 ouncers. |

Ah,Thanks for that and i understand it now. My Sandee ones look a lot more padded than the Everlast ones.Different construction.

The reason i asked this question is i can explain....
I just bought the Everlast gloves off Ebay and on arrival seemed VERY light for 16oz! I weighed them and compared them to my 16oz Sandee gloves, and the Everlast ar'nt 16oz! And far less padded so they will do for bag work only and i will get another 16oz pair for sparring...not off ebay ![]() ! |
