Teddy Atlas: "Floyd didn't want his father to profit from his loss so he retired"

At what point did he say anything about a "loss"? He said he thought Floyd just didn't want to be involved in any of that and fight against a guy his dad is preparing to try and beat him indirectly with. Nor did he want his dad to profit at all from it. Your post makes it sound like Teddy said DLH would win and that Floyd is afraid of fighting a guy he already beat. Which he didn't say. Good try though.Comment

It was kind of interesting what he said, and he said a lot more then just that. Said that Floyd is a sensitive person and didn't want to be put into the position of fighting a guy with his father in his corner, didn't want the media etc to exploit the family drama, etc. Interesting, not sure if it's true, but interesting nonetheless.
EDIT
and he never said anything about win/lossComment

If anything he meant it would be a lose/lose situation. Floyd wouldn't get any credit for a win and it wouldn't do his family issues any good to have a circus like that going on. Apparently you heard something the rest of us didn't. Even if Teddy slipped in the word "loss" you can tell from the rest of what he said, that it wasn't intended that way.Comment

Whats going to happen.....If cotto gets by tony, he then fights Oscar, in which Oscar turns Cotto into a ppv draw, and if cotto wins, Floyd comes out of his retirement to face cotto. Lots of ifs, but if it happens we will see a floyd/cotto fight.Comment
