Default exercise for grip strength and good upper body work out.

instead of doing regular chin ups....sling an old gi top over the chin up bar, then hold on to the lapel/collar whilst using it for chin ups....you can also hold the lapel like you would for a cross choke and do chin ups that way.

That is actually a good way to build your grip. Also purchase one of those therapy balls that you constanlly roll & squeeze in your hands. For those without gi's you can use a heavy towel or rope.

My last job I used to unscrew oil filters without the use of tools.

within weeks it felt like I could shatter glasses with my hands. Remember,.... it felt like that.
