Burley's honesty is admirable.

Here's Burley's only filmed fight.

About Ray Robinson, Sugar Ray in his 20th fight defeated the LW champion Sammy Angott (who defeated a prime Willie Pep) in what was unfortunately for him a non-title bout.

Four fights after that Robinson defeated the undefeated Marty Servo who went on to become the WW champion, then just one fight after that Ray became one of the only two men to have stopped HOFer Fritzie Zivic.

He defeated Angott and Servo in rematches, defeated the much bigger LaMotta, gave LaMotta a rematch and lost his first fight...

Robinson came back from that tough loss by defeating an aging Henry Armstrong and LaMotta again and again... And that's just the early years of Robinson's career before he even got a title shot, what can you say about that kind of a resume?

The only thing I'd have like to see Ray Robinson do more of was defend his title. He had a ****load of fights, but only 5 defenses at Welter. Though the circumstances back then were different so they couldn't defend their title every other fight.

If Burley is the one in the darker shorts. He is defently a good boxer. I'll have to view the whole fight later.

Is it me or does Floyd Mayweather fight identical to Charles Burley even has that shoulder roll.

edit: the more i watch Burley the more i see where Floyd Sr. got the style to teach little Floyd. I swear in that first round Burley looks like Mayweather kind of reminds me of Mayweather v. Castillo where Castillo is pressing Mayweather is going back then jumps in or waits to counter. Must watch for Floyd fans, lol, they'll proabably think Burley stole Floyds boxing style, lol.

did you not read what burley said?its pretty much career suicide at that point.black fighters where **** over alot back then.
