Mikkel Kessler's next opponent will be announced on Wednesday

Can you guess who it will be?

    I'm thinking maybe Jeff Lacy...

But I'm hoping it will be Winky Wright or Jermain Taylor!

I lost interest in Kessler after he backed out of the fight with Miranda, i kinda wanted to see that fight happen, but i'll peak at the fight if he fights lacey

With any luck he will destroy the myth of Carl Froch and Calzaghe can rest safe in the knowledge that the only man getting exposure off his name will be himself.

This is interesting. I just read the annoncement on team Palles website. Apparently it's for the championship. The fight will be before june 23 in Denmark.

It cannot be IBF as Bute is injured, neither WBC as Froch as mandatory is occupied fighting a push-over. Then there's WBO which is unlikely to strip their long-time champ Calzaghe.

Then there is WBA. Calzaghe is super-champ and Mundine is 'regular' champ. It wont be Calzaghe for obvious reasons. Mundine is a mystery. He is scheduled to fight Sam Soliman. That fight will NOT be sanctioned. My guess on the Mundine-situation is that he will next either fight Danny Green at LHW for mega-aussie bucks and thereby vacate or be stripped should he fight Soliman. I'm leaning on a Green come-back.

Phew! This would mean that Kessler will fight for the 'regular' WBA belt versus the highest available contender. Kessler is no.1. Miranda who's unavailable, is no.2. No. 3 is Danilo Haussler.

                My guess is Haussler.

There's also a slight possible chance that, since the fight is in Denmark, Mads Larsen will fight Kessler. Larsen is ranked at no. 10.

Whoever it is, it's not going to keep Palle from looking bad.

Or perhaps Dimitri Sartison, who's rated no.4. He last fought in february. I doubt Tsypko as he's unranked.
