Arum's horns have really been exposed. Props again to Oscar and Golden boy promotions and Lou Dibella promotions, on showing us how it is supposed to be done. Look at the Heavyweight division of today. That’s Don Kings impact as of today not yesterday.

Don King does not care anything about boxing. He is in it for the Dollar bill just like that crook Arum.

Bob Arum only made Margo fight Paul Williams when the WBO made a threat to take away his title for not fighting his mandatory. So looks what happens next after Margo lose to Williams, Arum puts him in with Golden over the hill - never has been Johnson

and now Arum says because of what Margo did to Johnson he is back to being a serious contender and now everyone is ducking him again, and now Margarito is GIVEN another title shot after beat some guy Boxing has buried decades ago.

It gives boxing a bad look with promoters trying to position guys who are unworthy for title shots that they do not deserve. Beside cintron an espn PPV I might add, Clottey and Williams Margo really has not fought anyone.

I think with Don King and Bob Arum having less and less of an influence on the matchups these days. Is what is saving Boxing

I think boxing will continue to prosper and will return to being one of the major attractions that it once was. Believe me I am not a big fan of Oscar, but I do respect and gives him props for what he has accomplished in the ring throughout his career. But I will give him credit Golden boy promotions does seem to give us fans the matchups that we really want to see unlike

King and Arum. King still controls some portion of the Heavyweight Division and that is why that division is limbo right now. Don King was so desperate he brought Tito back out of retirement to fight RJJ who should have retired on top after the Ruiz fight.

and now that same Bob arum does not want to make a Pavlik-Winky fight, because it's not a "big enough" fight. That is ****ing ridiculous. Winky Pavlik would sell more than Pavlik-Lorenzo or Pavlik-Sturm or any other 160 pounder.

The plain fact is Arum Thinks he can eat from all sides of the table(boxing) but when somebody else trys to eat from that table the same way he has He has a profound problem with that. And He suddenly start saying things..like "We need to stop the business fights."

Well Bob Arum follow your own words and Make the Winky Pavlik fight Happen. BUT HE WONT.....

Bob Arum is scared of Winky Wright just like he is scared of a JMM vs. Pacquiao III rematch, or a fight with Juan Diaz. And was scared of Paul Williams. Winky already said Pavlik can have the lion's share, so what does Arum do? When confronted with the info, he basically says "Winky brings nothing to the table and hangs up the phone".


This is exactly why the fight will not be made. Arum is scared to death of Winky. Pavlik, champion he is, says let's get it on, but Arum won't even explore the possibility. Why? Because Kelly might (key word is might) lose to Winky, where as he will kill Lorenzo, Sturm, or Duddy.

This is the exact reason Why People Have a certain distain for Bob Arum..

If I am not mistaken, Tony wanted to fight Williams while Arum wanted Tony to fight Miguel Cotto. Tony split from Arum which I think was settled in a court battle and both fighters were represented by Goossen Tutor Promotions even though I saw Arum there at the fight and at the post fight press conference. Not sure what Tony did but it was Tony's decision to fight Williams.

I don't like uncle Bob a lot of the times. He is a greedy mother ****er.

I read about the Winky incident and I think Winky should get a shot.

exactly, EVERYONE knows how Arum is like. He's a *** who owns a business. not much to it. We agree with you Horus. You made good and solid points.
