I'm not anti Floyd but i'm not for him either.

No matter if the man says something to promote the fight or not he says it to get press he wants people to talk about him and what he has said.

Any person who is in the media is fair game when it comes to their remarks and actions.

A lot of people say "You don't know him blah blah blah blah"
But guess what how many of you know Paris Hilton, Mel Gibson,Britney Spears,or Michael Richards yet I have seen people on here wish death on each of them.

When it comes to boxing or any sport for that matter I am watching to be entertained by two men beating the hell out of eachother and not looking for saints.

Floyd has not done anything to cross the line into being a bad person he is simply ****y, brash.

From what I can tell the split is mostly with those who live or like the hip hop culture and those who disagree with it, but in thee end everyone should appreciate his great talent.

If you look back into boxing history you will see many who bacame disliked by the legends who came before.

Jack Johnson at one time called Joe Louis dumb.
Joe Louis himself at times seemed not to fond of Ali's arrogance.

See Ali came out and said "I the greatest i'm the best ever" as he was standing right next to the man Joe Louis who at the time was 'the greatest'.

At some point at has to come full circle Floyd is better then Ali was in some areas is undefeted has speed has titles if he wants to take on the challenge of living up to Ali's or Ray Robinson's greatness so be it, thus far he hasn't done a bad job of it.

We have seen that being overconfident can lose a match but as Ali himself said "it's not bragging if you can really do it" [along those lines].
So far Floyd has done it.

If Floyd 'runs' so what, it is within the rules of boxing and it is the other mans job to stop him if he can't then Floyd has controled the fight thus winning fair and square.
It may not be fun to watch but it is what it is.

But at last as we the fans pay major money to buy PPV's, magazines, posters, and what have you we have every right to "Boooooooooo" or disagree with any and all statements or actions inside or outside of the ring regardless of the impact on a match or the sport as a whole.

But at the same time you should not and can not discredt a mans skill based on anything other then his in ring performance.

I'm not against him but i'm not for him I just want to watch a vastly skilled fighter but really do not care what the outcome is in this one match.

I didn't read the whole thing, because I'm about to head out to watch the fight, but I disagree that it's seperated between people who endorse the hiphop culture and those who don't.

I absolutely hate all forms of hiphop. I listen to scandinavian metal and prog metal for the most part, and Floyd is my favorite fighter.

I pay very little attention to what Floyd says to the media, because 99.9% of what he says is bull****. I became a fan from what he's done inside the ring, not outside of it.
