Counter-punchers like to face the one-punch knockout artists, because they can counter their single shots all day. Counter-punchers do not like anyone throwing high volumes of punches because they can slip or parry the first one or two but they are being followed up by another three or four punches which will land.

Jesus Chavez gave Mayweather hell but wasn't fast, powerful or strong enough to finish the job. He made Mayweather fight. I'm pretty sure that Mayweather's favourite opponent would be a slow boxer puncher who has seen better days. Kind of like Arturo Gatti.
