Ultimate Fighting Champion Tito Ortiz will fight anyone, anywhere .


IRVINE, CA., April 15, 2003 – Tito Ortiz, the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s most popular athlete, is ready to fight and to continue fighting as long as possible – but he wants to get paid fairly.


Ortiz recently brought in new representatives to negotiate the deal for his next title defense. He is now represented by X-treme Promotions of Irvine, California and well-known lawyer, Henry Holmes, who has represented several world championship boxers, wrestlers and martial artists including among them George Foreman, Oscar de la Hoya, Frank Shamrock and Hulk Hogan.


“Tito is an incredible athlete who is dedicated to give fans more than what they pay for, “ said Glenn McCusker, president of X-treme Promotions. “His Light Heavyweight championship bout with Ken Shamrock in Las Vegas last November set UFC records for Pay-For View attendance - over 100,000 - and they fought to a sold-out arena.


“This sport has to come out of the dark ages and treat its athletes appropriately,” says Homes. “Tito is as much a champion as Roy Jones Jr. and deserves compensation commensurate with his status as the current Light Heavyweight Champion.”


Tito is anxious to get back in the ring with the UFC’s top challengers.
