He's a horrible ref.
He allows no in fighting whatsoever.
It's also because there would be no fighting on the inside. N'dou might be willing to trade closeup but Paulie wont. A couple of longer breaks would be nice but there wouldn't be anything of consequence anyway.
I agree with this totally, the decision was totally right, but this ref was horrible, I think he was picked off the street, no in fighting, no warning for a "rabbit punch" which wasnt even one, everytime Paulie had Ndou on the ropes hed let them go a bit, but when it was the other way around he would break it immediatley. Even Merchants drunk ass was noticing it.
I thought Cotton did a fair job, although he missed some illegal stuff that N'Dou did. There were several rabbit punches early on and N'Dou received two warnings from Cotton before the point was deducted the third time.
N'Dou hit with a couple of low blows and deliberate-looking head butts (one of which cut Paulie) that Cotton missed. N'Dou was deliberately stepping on Malignaggi's foot! I thought Paulie handled all that illegal stuff very well.
Larry Merchant and Lennox Lewis sounded very unprofessional in getting on Cotton, since the replay clearly showed the rabbit punch for which N'Dou was deducted the point.
Umm what the hell fight were you watching??? lmao There were NO warnings issued , NDou NEVER threw a rabbit punch, not even what he got a point deducted for, Paulie rolls his head when a punch is coming , of course hes gonna get hit in the back of the head sometimes, Cotton never warned him for it, but when the supposed punch came he took a point off. And Paulie was doing his fair share of low blows as well, But I will give you the stepping on the foot thing
