Since this seems to be a popular topic on NSB again the last couple weeks, here it is, the ENTIRE fight, for those who haven't seen it.
Part one:
Part two:
Where the match actually begins. I think is pretty obvious that FLoyd won the first two rounds but starts to complain about shoulder. One prime example of HBO's lack of attention to detail and accuses Floyd for stepping on Castillo's foot therefore shouldn't be ruled a kd but in reality Castillo tripped over his own foot while trying to avoid floyd's punch. But I'm not complaining about that.
Part three:
Harold gave Castillo the 3rd round for a mini fury near the end of round after Floyd won the first 2:30 mins? Harold needs to quit smoking that bc bud because his short term memory is shot.
Part four:
So far I have 5-0 for Floyd Mayweather, however the tides will be shifting. Castillo made good effort to try to steal the round by packing heat at the 10-30 sec mark but you should fight the whole 3 mins if he expects to win the round. Also don't be fooled by the loud chants from Castillo fans, watch and comprehend.
Also those who use the argument, even the crowd boo'd the decision... It was a pro Castillo crowd, of course they're going to do that. They were cheering for JLC throughout the entire fight. You have also got to remember, illegal punches do not score in the judges eyes. Repeatedly hitting someone after the bell or while the ref is breaking you up, do not hold water.
Part five:
I gave Castillo rounds 6 and 7 as he effectively closed the distance pinned Mayweather against the ropes and landed some effective punches. Mayweather stopped throwing his jab in those rounds for some reason (torn rotator cuff in his left arm), and Castillo took advantage. Round 8 I felt was a really close round that easily could of gone either way, and since I'm such a nice guy, I'll give it to Castillo. 9-9 round.
After 8 rounds I have Mayweather winning: 77-74.
Round 9, Mayweather again starts controlling the pace of this fight with his jab. Floyd's jab couldn't miss, and he ripped Castillo with some sharp hooks and right hands as he came in, before moving out of the way. Yes Castillo landed a nice right hand at the beginning of the round, but Floyd also landed a very nice 1-2 left-right hand during that exchange.
Seriously if you truly paid attention in this fight, you'd notice that the Entire HBO crew hardly spoke a word of what Floyd was doing in the ring. While Floyd is landing hooks, and constant jabs, HBO does not mention it at all, instead they're too busy talking about the punch Castillo landed an entire 2 minutes earlier.
I gave Castillo the 10th round. 10-8
Mayweather winning 95-93
Mayweather follows instructions and decides to hold his ground. And wow, talk about impressive inside fight skills. Mayweather clearly lands the cleaner, harder hooks in this round. A clear round for Mayweather.
Mayweather winning 106-102
And I gave Castillo the 12th round.
My scorecard: 115-112
