This should not be a title fight! Oquendo hasn't been a contender for a decade.

Why don't they just give Chagaev the title and save the formalities. I doubt Chagaev has enough left to beat Tony Thompson.

      This is a joke.

And the ultimate joke will be Wlad saying the winner is his "mandatory" and fighting him before he fights Pulev.

WBA is a joke, same trick as they pulled with Povetkin who was never really a world champion, this is even worse that interim bullcrap, seems the IBF are the only ones not at it.

So does Wlad keep winning this title and they keep taking it off him or what?

Chagaev is definitely knocking this guy out!
Love to see White Tyson back to his best maybe mount a good couple wins together but I'd rather see him fight the likes of Tyson/Chisora or Wilder/Stiverne all four I believe he'd knock out.

Pulev fight has been ordered to happen and has a set date don't you pay any attention to news at all?

Its highly likely going to happen in September, Pulev will be an easy fought victory for Wlad maybe he can go on and fight winner of Stiv and Wilder and ignore Chagaevs mandatory challenge to get the belts unified.

                The WBA has no shame.

They'll probably dig John Ruiz up to fight the winner and Holyfield after that.

Wouldn't be surprised if Gaye is sniffing around for the winner

Actually it's you who should be paying closer attention to the news.

                    1) Pulev is Wlad's IBF mando. The winner of this farce will be his WBA mando.

                    2) Pulev became the IBF mando BEFORE Leapai became the WBO mando, yet Wlad fought Leapai first. What's the guarantee he won't do something like that again?

                    3) IBF ordering the fight is one thing, Wlad actually getting in the ring with Pulev is another. Wlad keeps trying to weasel out of it without getting stripped, and he is a powerful enough figure to probably succeed.

                    4) If Pulev is such an easy fight, why doesn't Wlad just get it out of the way? Common sense dictates he should do that and then fight the Stiverne vs Wilder winner, but he is strangely reluctant to share a ring with Pulev.
