Yes I get it those are good fights and we all want to see them but it doesn't help when the Promoter of those fighters does nothing but bash the guy who is running things at HBO
Yep. Especially when it's quite public that he has ZERO leverage to negotiate.

I mean what gives?
Why does HBO still have fanboys?

Better question is why were there HBO fanboys to begin with

Your head is in the wrong place dude. Arum tries to make a great, competitive fight for the fans and HBO turned it down because they need to fund Golovkin, Kovalev and Crawford's stumblebum missions.

I hope Top Rank can reconcile with PBC and put these mother ****ers away. They clearly aren't for the fans for turning down high quality fights like that.

Hopefully, this is the beginning of the end for Arum/Top Rank.

Posters focusing on the Lomachenko-Walters aren't looking at the bigger picture. It's a potentially great fight between 2 top fighters that would be a top fight in the sport and would be disappointing if it didn't take place; that goes without saying.

The bigger picture is that Arum/Top Rank have to be relegated to a non-factor for boxing to thrive. He has played a major role in the decline of boxing for the past 50+ years, where he's consistently sacrificed boxing's future by chasing after the short term dollar (How?... PPV, HBO/Showtime, corruption, and neglect... Do your research).

He and his ilk never invested in boxing because they just wanted to exploit it for their personal gain. He willingly put himself in the position where he's a beggar. If HBO/Showtime don't cooperate with him, he's going to be relegated to making PinoyPower/Latin Fury PPV featuring Lomachenko-Walters or, more likely, scrapping the fight altogether due to the risk and lack of profitability.

**** him, he had 50+ years to create his own PBC. It's unfortunate that he has fighters signed to him that are going to be along for the ride, but **** that, let him suffer the consequences now.

You're not going to wait to see how successful the PBC is before criticizing everybody who didn't try to create their own?

HBO'S budget has been shrinking since 1999... doesn't that say enough? Smh

HBO's budget has nothing to do with the success of PBC. There's no reason they can't both go out of business.

It has everything to do with the success of PBC. HBO folds and fighter purses can go straight to the $300k to 500k range.
