Canelo is not a bigger draw than Mayweather...PERIOD! Your argument is just that of PURE IGNORANCE!

You want to talk about ignorance when you think a black fighter holds the rights to mexican holiday over a mexican fighter now that's ignorance.move along troll you failed

They would snatch that date away from golden boy so fast and deal with the legal ramifications later trust me Canelo don't sell out the clubs rooms and closed circuit like mayweather.
Who says it has to at MGM could be at another casino, it's gonna happen and your may ppv is going down the *****er

Hmmm HARD choice who do Mexicans want to watch...
Floyd with his rather boring sort of style or... one of Mexicos biggest rising stars?
        Hmm tough one, very tough!

I'd happily support him over Floyd, Floyd would take big damage to his PPV numbers if Canelo competes with him.

          Niche Mexican sport in America

Do you guys understand Canelo is a Mexican citizen and Mayweather is an American citizen. Mexicans are NOT Floyd main supporters. Mayweather Has a more diverse fan base. Canelo is popular with The Mexican fan base only, they do support him but not like Mayweather's diverse fan base do (more money). Just look at the celebrities that came out for a Canelo's card and the ones that come out for a Mayweather's card.

When Mayweahter retires you guys will see boxing become a niche Mexican sport in America. And Canelo crossing over will be harder.

mexicans dont support floyd, but they will pay to watch him lose, but if you put canelo on the same date they will prefer to pay for canelo to watch him win, and it wont be all of floyds ppvs but it will be a big hit...

Even Floyd knows the threat is real. That is why he is talking about a big May surprise now. Unless he offers Cotto more to fight him, which still might not be enough because the fight might have to be on HBO if the reports are true about the deal Cotto signed with them, then there is no one he can realistically fight that would be a bigger fight than Canelo/Cotto.

Cinco de Mayo is about as Mexican as Taco Bell.

                  And nobody "owns" a date.
